“Just as his descendants are alive, so too he is alive.”
One of the most foundational teachings about the tzaddik who transcends death. Chabad extends this to all tzaddikim who live entirely for the spiritual reality — their life-force continues to animate the world.
This is the basis for the Chabad teaching about the continued presence and influence of the Rebbe after his passing (histalkus) in 1994.
